Duration: Permanent! (Direct Hire) (with benefits included)
Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to coordinate and lead patient care activities during assigned shifts. This role is responsible for maintaining continuity of care, ensuring appropriate staffing based on acuity and census, and supporting nursing standards, unit policies, and hospital procedures. The Charge Nurse plays a key role in patient flow, staff collaboration, and quality outcomes.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate staffing based on acuity and census to ensure optimal OR efficiency
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Circulate in Orthopedic and Neurosurgical cases (required)
- Monitor patient response to interventions, medications, and treatments
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies
- Respond effectively to patient emergencies and crisis situations
- Lead discharge planning and patient/family education initiatives
- Investigate incidents and complaints; complete variance reports as required
- Support quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics
- Participate in orientation of new team members and ongoing education
Required Qualifications:
- Active Oklahoma RN License (multi-state accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room circulating experience (required)
- Strong experience in Orthopedic and Neuro surgical cases
- Ability to triage, manage crisis situations, and function under pressure
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a clinical setting
- Working knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and hospital regulations
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- CNOR certification (preferred)
- Experience with Epic EMR (preferred)
- Stable employment history
