Schedule Notes: 12-hour nights, float as needed, every other weekend | Shift Hours: 19:00–07:30 | Weekends Required: Yes | Float Position: Yes
Schedule: 3 days per week, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Work Setting: Hospital – Internal Medicine

Required Skills & Experience:

• Attains knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.

Education Requirements:

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing, eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License OR

• Multistate Nursing License from a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider or an AHA-approved equivalent.

• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses or clinical issues.

• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care.

• Integrates evidence-based nursing knowledge and research findings into practice.

• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice activities.

• Collaborates with interprofessional teams to improve clinical care, patient flow, and outcomes.

• Assesses patient care needs, delegates appropriately, and utilizes resources effectively.

• Promotes a safe, healthy practice environment and advocates for environmental health.

• Provides timely response to patient needs and contributes to effective patient and family communication.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
