Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Job Location: Fremont, MI
Job duration: 3+ Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift – Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN to join our Emergency Department team. The RN will provide high-quality, evidence-based care using the nursing process and will act as a patient advocate within an interdisciplinary team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations with professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Provide direct patient care based on evidence-based practices and the nursing process.
- Advocate for patient and family needs, ensuring safety and confidentiality.
- Assess patient conditions, plan and implement care strategies, and evaluate outcomes.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
- Accurately complete timely documentation.
- Demonstrate leadership and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Requirements:
- Active RN License – State of Michigan
- Associate’s degree in nursing required; BSN preferred or must be obtained within 5 years of hire
- Minimum of one year emergency or critical care experience preferred
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
Certifications (Required):
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- TNCC (ENA)
- ENPC (ENA)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
