TRAVEL: RN - MED/SURG TELEMETRY - BACKFILL - DAY
Job Title: TRAVEL: RN - MED/SURG TELEMETRY - BACKFILL - DAY
Job Location: Portland, ME
Job Duration: 2-3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: Day shift, 7:00am - 7:30pm
Float Requirements:
- Float Pool position, will float every shift.
- This is a Float Pool position.
- Candidate must be filling to float to multiple different units.
- Candidate must have acute care hospital experience.
- Candidate must be able to read and interpret their own telemetry.
Education & Certifications Required:
- Valid RN License (State of Maine).
- Will be assigned by client Education Department for Day 1 Onboarding.
Unit Information:

Number of Beds: Varies based on unit floated to smallest unit at client has 15 beds, largest has 40+ beds.

Patient Ratios: Typically 1:4 on days (possibility of 1:5 when stretching) and 1:5 on nights (possibility of 1:6 when stretched).

Equipment: Client Plum Pumps.

EMR: EPIC.
Hiring Profile:

Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 years hospital experience; must be able to read & interpret telemetry strips.

Preferred Skillset/Experience: At least 1 previous travel assignment.

Type of Patients on Unit: Varies based on unit floated to.

Personality Fit: Flexibility is a must.
Dress Code:

Scrub Color: Any color, so long as it is clean and professional in appearance.

Any unacceptable attire: Jeans, t shirts, open toed shoes, shoes with holes in them (such as Crocs).
Misc./Other Information:
- In the past we have had travelers assigned to the Float Pool and it was their first travel assignment.
- This usually proves to be a challenge for the traveler, so having has at least 1 travel assignment, or prior Float Pool experience will set the traveler up for success.
