RN - MICU

Job Title: (RN) – Medical ICU
Location: New York, NY
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 shifts/week | 11.5 hours per shift
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Average Unit Census: 13.6 patients | 14 Beds per Unit
Pay Rate: $58/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)

Role Overview:
As a Critical Care RN in the Medical ICU, you will provide expert, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients. This role emphasizes patient-centered care through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, critical thinking, and the application of nursing theory and research. You will also support quality and safety initiatives while fostering professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Associate Degree considered only with relevant experience or active BSN matriculation.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid NYS RN License, BLS, ACLS.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience in a hospital setting.
  • Minimum 2 years Medical ICU experience (mandatory).
  • 1 year travel nursing experience preferred (not required for Per Diem).
• Technical Skills: EPIC experience highly preferred.
• Other: Ability to work 3x12 schedule nights; strong critical thinking and communication skills.
