Job Description:
- The Registered Nurse serves as a clinical leader in patient care delivery, applying the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and clinical standards.
- This role includes delegation, team coordination, patient advocacy, and accountability for quality outcomes.
- The RN ensures culturally sensitive care and contributes to unit goals while demonstrating professional responsibility.
Job Duties:
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Educate patients, families, and staff according to individual learning needs
- Delegate and manage resources (personnel and equipment) effectively
- Serve as a leader and collaborator on the interdisciplinary care team
- Use data to drive decisions and support continuous improvement
- Uphold customer satisfaction and contribute to positive team morale
- Adapt care and communication to suit patient population diversity
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of med / surg exp.
Licenses & Certifications
- Current RN license of LA or compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association
