Job Title: RN SICU/MICU
Shift: Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Every Other Weekend)
Schedule: 3 days per week, 34.5 hours per week (3x12 shifts)
Contract Type: 13 weeks
Hourly rate: $56/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview:
The Clinical Nurse provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in the SICU/MICU unit at St. Luke’s. This role requires the application of nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices to deliver optimal care. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate patient care plans, educate patients and families, and engage in continuous quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Acceptable: Associate degree in nursing (with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program).
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/Med-Surg experience required.
- Experience with EPIC preferred.
- New York State RN License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in patient care documentation (preferably EPIC).
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities.
Additional Information:
- Unit Census: Average of 17 patients, 24-bed unit.
- Staffing Guidelines: 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Shift Details: 3x12-hour shifts, with weekends required.
