Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Circulator
Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Initial Duration – 3 months+ (High possibilities of Extension)

Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (2 x 10 hr shift)
Weekend: Variable
 
Note:

• Stipend is also provided to the candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility
• Other locations available in MI.
• Local/Travel Contracts available in multiple departments in all states.

 
 
Note: Circulating at a level 1 trauma center - Wide range of Specialties from Client/Neuro to GYN Urology and Robots

Job Summary:
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care and in accordance with health system policies, procedures, and ANA/regulatory standards.
• Formulates decisions and actions based on ethical principles, using the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide practice.
• Advocates for privacy, confidentiality and security of patient, staff and organizational data.
• Assesses the overall needs of the patient/family and analyses the assessment data to identify potential diagnoses or issues.
• Identifies expected outcomes/goals and develops and implements/coordinates an individualized interprofessional plan of care that recommends strategies to achieve the outcomes in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice.
• Assumes an autonomous leadership role and delegates appropriately to unlicensed assistive personnel to facilitate safe, quality patient care in a cost-effective manner.

 
On call Requirements:

• On Call: variable call back minimum 2hr - 2 days in a rolling 4-week block

 
Required Education:

• Associate’s degree in nursing.

 
Preferred Education:

• BSN

 
Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Registered Nurse (RN) State of Michigan.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA.
• ACLS AHA.
