Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - Critical Need
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Location: Oakland, CA 94611
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Pay Rate: $70 - $75 Per Hour
Role Overview:
This position provides specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The RN will monitor, assess, and intervene in the care of children with life-threatening health conditions while working as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver age-appropriate, critical care nursing to pediatric patients.

Monitor and respond to rapid physiological changes and emergencies.

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care.

Administer medications, manage life-support equipment, and document patient progress.

Provide support to families in high-stress situations with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills:

Current California RN License – Required
-
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the past 3 years) full-time PICU experience – Required

Graduate of an accredited nursing program – Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required
