Job Title: RN – MICU
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226
Duration: 06/08/2026 – 09/10/2026
Shift: 3rd Shift / NOC
Schedule: 3 days/week, 12 hrs/day, 36 hrs/week, Every other weekend required, No call required, Float required as needed to other ICUs, step-down units, or acute care units
Schedule Notes:

• NOC .9 FTE / 3x12 schedule
• Recent Travel RN experience required
• Minimum MICU experience required
• Critical care float experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Tele Testing required during first week; two attempts to pass
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Fit test required
• Color vision test required

Work Setting: MICU / Critical Care / Inpatient Hospital

Required Skills & Experience:

• Clinical competence and experience in care and management of target patient populations
• Professional nursing theory and practice knowledge acquired through accredited nursing education
• Recent Travel RN experience required
• Minimum MICU experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Patient assessment experience
• Nursing care planning experience
• Nursing care implementation experience
• Nursing care evaluation experience
• Clinical competence in critical care nursing required

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Critical care float experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

Education:

• Associate’s degree in nursing required
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating NLC state
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Job Summary:

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment
• Provides care primarily to an adult population in the MICU setting
• Delivers nursing care aligned with ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice

Duties:

• Assesses patient conditions and develops nursing care plans
• Implements and evaluates nursing interventions for MICU patients
• Provides critical care nursing in an inpatient environment
• Delivers patient-centered care according to professional nursing standards
• May float to other ICUs, step-down units, or acute care units as needed
• Completes Tele Testing requirements during the first week of assignment
• Adheres to hospital policies, standards of practice, and patient care protocols
