Location: New York, NY 10037
Duration: 3 + Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM | 5 days/week | 8 hours/day | 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $83–$85/hr. on W2
Work Setting: Interventional Radiology
Position Overview:
The Interventional Radiology RN provides direct patient care in a high-acuity IR setting, assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures. The RN is responsible for patient assessment, IV insertion, phlebotomy, conscious sedation, and monitoring throughout procedures. This role requires strong critical care experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs before, during, and after IR procedures
- Administer IV medications and fluids; perform IV insertions
- Conduct phlebotomy for diagnostic testing
- Provide conscious sedation under physician guidance
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care
- Document all procedures and patient interactions in compliance with institutional policies and standards
- Maintain adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and patient privacy regulations
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
- IV insertion and phlebotomy skills
- Experience with conscious sedation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Licensure & Certifications:
- New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS Certification
