Registered Nurse – Telemetry (TRAVEL)
Job Title: Registered Nurse – Telemetry (TRAVEL)
Location: Alexandria, LA, 71301
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Temp-to-Perm)
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM | 36 hours/week (3x12s)
Note: This position requires candidates residing 50+ miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler (stipend applicable as per guidelines).
Required Qualifications:
• Active RN License (State or Compact)
• BLS Certification (AHA required)
• ACLS Certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or related cardiac nursing experience preferred
Unit Details:
- Patient population includes MI, CHF, Arrhythmias, PVD, and Med-Surg overflow
- Cardiac drips managed (no titration/nitration)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 5:1 (occasionally 6:1)
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care and monitor telemetry/cardiac conditions
- Administer medications and manage cardiac drips
- Collaborate with care teams and document patient progress
