Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shift)
Pay Rate:
Travel: $85/hour. on W2
Local: $75/hour. on W2
**Stipend is also provided to the candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility**
**Referral bonus on each successful referral**
Role Overview:
- The Labor & Delivery RN will provide specialized care to patients throughout the childbirth process, including labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum.
- The role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to act quickly in high-pressure situations, and compassionate support for patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery
- Administer medications and manage IVs per provider orders
- Assist physicians with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergencies
- Provide immediate postpartum and neonatal care
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in medical records
- Respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: At least 1 year of recent full-time L&D experience (within the last 3 years)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
