Job Summary:
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- BLS
Skills:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Schedule Notes:
- REQUIRED: 1-2 years urology experience as an RN, Surgical experience, Current MI RN licensure, Current BLS certification through AHA.
- Daily the candidate will be assigned to a provider or procedure room for the duration of their shift. Average of 4 procedures per day per room Average of 15-20 patients daily per provider
- Daily performed tasks can be expected to include; Rooming, catheters, injections, void trials, pelvic exams, suprapubic tubes, cystoscopy, urodynamic testing, etc.
