RN - CVICU

Job Title: RN - CVICU
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 3 Months / 13 weeks (High possibilities of extension or a fulltime based on business needs and individual performance)
 
Shift: 12-hour, Nights, and Every other weekend  
 
Job Description:

• Critical Patient Care: Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients, including those post-CABG, valve replacements, and heart failure management.
• Advanced Monitoring: Continuously monitor hemodynamic, EKG rhythms, ventilators, and titrate vasoactive medications.
• Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, code blue situations, and hemodynamic instability.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Patient & Family Support: Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, recovery, and lifestyle modifications for heart health.

 
Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in the relevant unit required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• CV, CV surgery, devices if possible (Impella, balloon pump, ECMO nice if they have it, post op CT surgery management, CRRT) is a plus

 
Education:

• Associates in Nursing required
• Bachelors in Nursing preferred

 
Certifications and Licenses:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• WI RN License or Compact State License
