RN Perioperative Circulator Adult Surgery OUMC FS.

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Perioperative Circulator (Adult Surgery)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible extension)

Shift: 4 × 10 hours per week | Days (6:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Block schedule available – Any 3 consecutive days upon request.
 
Job Overview:
The Perioperative Circulator RN plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. The nurse uses clinical knowledge, judgment, and reasoning skills to ensure safe and effective patient care throughout the perioperative process.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the operating room
• Monitor and document all aspects of patient care using the nursing process
• Ensure individualized care based on patient condition, age, and surgical procedure
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain patient safety and optimal outcomes

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment as Circulator/Perioperative/ Operating room nurse.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and procedures
• Familiarity with AORN standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

 
Certifications & License Required :

• Oklahoma state RN License/Multistate ( compact ) license.
• BLS and ACLS from AHA.
• CNOR Certification.
