RN - CVICU
Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – CVICU
Location: Albany, NY 12208
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Pay range - $68/hr. - $70/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.
Schedule Notes:

Work Hours: 36 hours/week (3 x 12-hour shifts)

Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Job Summary:
The RN will care for immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients requiring advanced hemodynamic support, monitoring, and specialized care. The ideal candidate must have significant CVICU experience and competency in critical care procedures and equipment.
Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor post-op cardiac and vascular surgical patients

Operate and manage ventilators, arterial lines, spinal drains

Perform advanced ECG monitoring and interpretation

Administer and titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips

Manage temporary pacemakers and hemodynamic devices

Document care accurately in Epic EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Skills & Requirements:
-
CVICU Staff RN Experience: Minimum 2–3 years (Required)

Trauma Level I Hospital Experience: Required
-
Epic EMR Experience: REQUIRED
-
Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring: Required

Ventilator and A-line Management, Pacemaker Use: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS (Required)

Education: RN License (Active NY license or willing to obtain; not accepting local candidates)

Competency Test: Must be completed within 48 hours of submission (sent via email.
