Travel: RN - PICU

Job Title: Travel RN PICU
Location: San Antonio, TX 78207
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and complex nursing care in a Pediatric ICU setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient response
• Manage ventilated pediatric patients and critical care cases
• Document patient history, treatments, and progress accurately
• Educate patients families and caregivers on care plans and needs
• Delegate tasks and coordinate with healthcare team members
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

Requirements: This includes experience, certifications, licenses additional skills

• Minimum 1 year of PICU or related specialty experience
• Must have ventilator and pediatric ICU experience
• RN License in Texas or compact state
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification (AHA required)
• PALS certification (AHA required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Ability to handle critical care and complex clinical situations

Preferences

• Experience in pediatric settings or Perinatal RN Residency preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage high-acuity patients
• Strong clinical judgment and delegation skills
