Registered Nurse - Emergency
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency
Location: Tulsa, OK 74133
Duration: 6 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Shift/Start: TBD
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating patient functional status while delivering safe, culturally competent, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process in caring for assigned patients.
- Complete assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide nursing care considering cultural, psychosocial, and age-related factors.
- Organize, prioritize, and perform nursing skills appropriate for patient population.
- Anticipate patient/unit needs and use sound bio-psychosocial knowledge.
- Delegate tasks and communicate effectively with team members.
- Demonstrate professional judgment in changing patient/unit situations.
- Document nursing care accurately, concisely, and legibly using correct medical terminology.
- Facilitate patient education and discharge planning.
- Make timely referrals and collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate.
- Support unit/hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities.
- Attend mandatory in-services and complete variance reports accurately.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 0–6 months of nursing experience.
- Epic electronic medical record experience.
- Knowledge of disease state management, clinical pathways, and bio-psychosocial model.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage detailed clinical and numerical data.
Education:
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
Certifications & Licensure:
- Valid Oklahoma RN license or multi-state RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
