Job Title: Clinical Nurse – Emergency Department (ED)
Location: New York, NY
Department: Emergency Services (ED)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Every Other Week Required)
Hours: 34.5 hours/week, 11.5 hours/day, 3 days/week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $67/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse (Registered Professional Nurse) provides safe, competent, and high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department, applying nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practice. The nurse collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to manage patient care, ensuring quality, safety, and an optimal patient experience.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
 - New York State RN License required.
 - BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS certifications required.
 
- Minimum 4 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience.
 - Trauma Level II experience required.
 - EPIC experience highly preferred.
 
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient care management skills.
 - Ability to educate patients and caregivers effectively.
 - Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
 - Knowledge of nursing standards, evidence-based practices, and safety protocols.
 
- Average unit census: 17 patients, 24 beds.
 - Staffing ratio: 1:2, 3x12 schedule including weekends.
