RN 6S Telemetry Stepdown

Job Title: RN – Telemetry Stepdown
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219, USA
Start Date: 10/21/2025
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend
Pay Rate: $55/hour

• 28-bed unit specializing in post-vascular and electrophysiology procedure recovery.

• Patient population includes:

  • Acute MI

  • Cardiac arrhythmias

  • Syncope

  • Cardiomyopathy

  • Heart failure

• Provides cardiac monitoring for multiple patient populations.

• Nurses manage:

  • IV medication titration

  • Conscious sedation for cardioversions

• All nurses are ACLS certified and have completed ECG interpretation training.

• Excellent stepping stone for nurses aiming to transition into ICU roles.

• Deliver age- and culturally-specific care in accordance with the Client care model.

• Apply knowledge from nursing, biological, behavioral, physical, and social sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.

• Maintain confidentiality and professional growth.

• Communicate effectively and adapt to changes in a culturally diverse environment.

• Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

• Minimum 2 years of stepdown experience.

• Proficiency in cardiac drips, including:

  • Amiodarone

  • Lasix

  • Cardizem

  • Dopamine

  • Dobutamine

  • Milrinone

• Must be able to interpret heart rhythms.

• Experience with:

  • Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD)

  • Post-open heart surgery care

  • Cardiac catheterization recovery

  • Vascular surgery

  • General cardiac patients

• Required: Diploma in Nursing

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Required:

  • Active Ohio RN License (or Compact)

  • BLS (AHA)

  • ACLS (AHA)

• Preferred: None specified

• Must be willing to float to:

  • ClientU

  • Cardiopulmonary

  • Heart & Vascular Stepdown

  • Comprehensive Medicine Stepdown

  • Cardiology Telemetry Stepdown
