Job Title: RN - Emergency Department
Job Location: Warren, MI 48093
Job Duration: 4+ Months (Possibilities of extension)

Shift: 7 pm – 7:30 am

Job Summary:
Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team. Participates in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of those solutions.
 
Education:
Required Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).

 
Required Certification & Licensure:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Certification & Licensure: N/A
 
Compensation:

• Pay range: $44.00 to $57.00 hourly (USD)
• Note: Pay range may vary and/or include benefits such as stipends (clinical travelers only), medical, dental, vision, 401K.

 
Required Skills & Experience:

• Clinical knowledge and analytical skills necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within assigned unit/department.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Additional Job Details:

• Hours Per Week: 40.00
• Hours Per Day: 8.00
• Days Per Week: 5.00
• Float position, staffed every 4 hours; may be pulled to ED and ED observation. Typical patient ratio max 1:6.

 
Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years recent and relevant ED experience required.
• Must have ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Nice to have: TNCC, ENPC or PALS, CPI certifications.
• Level 3 trauma facility.
