Call Requirements: None
Years of Experience: 1-2 minimum
Float Requirements: Yes IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit within MMC. IMC RNs will float to med/surg as needed. Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care. Floating is based on unit need and skill as well as the needs of nursing units.
Education & Certifications Required:
Required Certifications: BLS
Education Modules: MMC mandatory onboarding education
Unit Information:
Number of Beds: 43
Patient Ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/Surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1
Equipment: Ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, CPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-Rebreather, Epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, Trach care/maintenance
EMR: Epic
Hiring Profile:
Must Have Skills/Experience: IMC RNs must have Vent experience. All RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and interpreting telemetry strips.
Type of Patients on Unit: Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and most any acute on chronic medical condition.
