Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM | Rotating Nights: Wed Fri, Sun, Thurs Fri (Biweekly)
Assignment Duration: 12 Weeks
Projected Start Date: August 4, 2025
Experience Required: 2+ years recent LDRP experience
Position Summary:
Livingston Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate LDRP Registered Nurse to join our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) team. This role involves comprehensive care of patients through all stages of childbirth in a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will manage labor inductions (typically 2 per night), assist with deliveries, support recovery and postpartum care, and occasionally train newer OB nurses. This position also requires call shifts based on mutual agreement.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases.

Monitor and chart fetal heart tones using AWHONN fetal monitoring standards.

Perform 1 2 labor inductions per shift.

Utilize Medhost and Centricity (CPN) for electronic documentation.

Support neonatal care and serve as a backup to the nursery nurse, particularly in critical newborn situations.

Collaborate with respiratory therapy staff as needed (available 24/7).

Precept and mentor new OB nurses as assigned.

Participate in rotating weekend and call coverage as needed.
Qualifications:

Active TN or Compact Multi-State RN License (must be submitted with resume)

Current Certifications (Must be American Heart Association-certified and submitted with application):

Basic Life Support (BLS)
-
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
-
AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
-

Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or LD experience in a hospital setting
Preferred Skills:
-
Proficiency with Medhost and Centricity (CPN) charting systems

Strong mentoring and precepting skills

Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations

Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
Schedule Details:

Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Rotation: Week 1 Wed, Thurs, Fri | Week 2 Sun, Thurs, Fri
