Design consultants influence the way that indoor spaces look. Design consultants work with spaces as small as the rooms of houses and hotels and as large as shopping malls and airports.

On a daily basis, design consultants may complete tasks like:
• Talking with clients to understand their needs, budgets, and tastes
• Developing and presenting comprehensive plans for the way a space will look, including cost and samples of floor covering, paints, and lightig
• Working with architects and subcontractors to ensure design adheres to plans and problems that occur during the process are solved.
