Job Summary:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Schedule:
- Shift: 19:00 – 07:30
- Hours: 36 per week (Open to 48 hours)
- Days Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Day: 12
- Interview Type: Manager will call candidates directly
- Float Details: Float position staffed every 4 hours. May be pulled to ED and ED Observation only.

Job Summary:

Education:
Required Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
Certification & Licensure:
Required:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- BLS.
- ACLS.
- TNCC.
- ENPC or PALS.
- NIHSS.
- CPI.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant Emergency Department experience.
Patient Ratio:
- 1:5 (may increase depending on case load).
Skills & Experience:
Required:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
