Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Livingston, TN 38570
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibilities of Extension)
 
Shift: Mon - Fri 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, Call is required thru the week and weekend coverage
 
Essential Functions:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

 
Facility Requirements:

• Shifts will be M-F 6:45am - 3:15pm.
• Call is required thru the week and weekend coverage.
• Must have TN RN or multi-state RN license.
• Must have ACLS, BLS & PALS certification (Must be through the American Heart Association).
• Must have knowledge of General surgery, orthopedic, OB, GYN and Endoscopy.
• OR also covers C-Sections.
• Circulators also do the recovery of general surgery patients who had an ETT as needed prior to going back to the floor or Same Day Surgery.
• No Robot.
• Must have 2 years recent OR RN experience.
