Job Title: RN – Telemetry/Acute MedSurg
Location: Alamogordo, NM 88310
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible extension)
Shift/Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 12-hour shifts
Locals also accepted! (within 50-mile radius of Alamogordo, NM 88310)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care using the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and care needs
- Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with other healthcare team members
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Telemetry/Medsurg unit.
- Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state
- Experience with general MedSurg and EPIC (preferred)
- BLS & ACLS Certification from AHA.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience with general medical and surgical patients
- Exposure to behavioral health, OB surgical, and pediatric patients
