Job Title: Pediatric Clinical Nurse (Pediatric Cardiac ICU)
Location: NYC, NY
Contract duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 days/week | 11.5 hours/day
Pay Rate: $65/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)

Role Overview:
The Pediatric Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse providing safe, competent, and quality care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting, specifically within the Pediatric Cardiac ICU. This role involves utilizing nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience in a hospital setting.
• Licensure: Registered Nurse with current New York State registration.
• Clinical Competence: Strong nursing process knowledge and clinical skills relevant to pediatric cardiac ICU.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to assess and care for acutely ill pediatric patients, including physical stamina to walk, stand, lift, and respond quickly.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with electronic medical records and basic data entry/retrieval systems.
• Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams using critical thinking.
