Job Summary:
- A Registered Nurse at Client involves the delivery of nursing practices according to the most up-to-date evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care, to provide and ensure safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient care.
- A day in the life of a Registered Nurse includes Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation Assessment.
- Nurses will cover CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine/Pet.
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
- Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plans of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
- Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manages care of patients.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
- Performs age and disease specific assessment / data collection independently in a systematic manner focusing on physiological, psychological and cognitive status.
- Recognizes clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
- Identifies variables in patient/family education needs based on age, disease, and culturally specific learning differences.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care facility.
- Nurses will be utilized in Interventional Radiology’s Preop and PACU recovery areas.
- They should have experience in this area or within a procedural area.
- Preop/PACU, TELE. Help with admission.
Education:
- Associate degree in nursing– Required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing – Preferred.
Required Licensure & Certifications:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- BLS.
- ACLS.
- PALS.
