Job Summary:
Provide nursing care to patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Utilize professional nursing theory and clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, cognitive, and functional needs. Communicate findings effectively and act as a patient advocate.
• Develop, prioritize, and revise individualized care plans based on patient assessments, evaluating progress to achieve expected outcomes. Engage patients and families in the care planning and evaluation process.
• Demonstrate clinical competency in the assigned practice area, adhering to departmental performance standards.
• Assess patient and family learning needs, develop and provide appropriate education, involving interdisciplinary team members as necessary. Evaluate education effectiveness and patient understanding.
• Identify and address ethical issues in patient care. Provide nursing care respectfully, honoring patient diversity and rights. Serve as a resource for colleagues in managing ethical dilemmas.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care.
• Perform scrub duties for Obstetrics Operating Room (Ob OR) procedures as required.
• Deliver care that respects patient diversity and rights, identifying resources to meet unique needs. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, core measures, patient safety protocols, and quality initiatives to optimize clinical and organizational outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
