Job Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a Telemetry/Acute Med-Surg setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Manage patients with conditions including colorectal, urology, sepsis, SBO, geriatric, and gynecology cases
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
- Accurately document patient history, assessments, treatments, and outcomes
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Educate patients and caregivers based on assessed learning needs
- Delegate tasks appropriately to other care providers while managing clinical situations
Requirements:
- Active RN License in Texas or Compact State
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Telemetry or Acute Med-Surg nursing
- Ability to work night shifts and manage diverse patient populations
