RN - Med Surg

Duties: Job Summary:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Education: Required Education:
-Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred Education:
-Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certification & Licensure:
-Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
-BLS Schedule Notes: ** NIGHT SHIFT ONLY ** ** MUST BE ABLE TO START NO LATER THAN 3 WEEKS FROM OFFER. ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF 3 WEEKS WILL NEED TO BE APPROVED BY THE MANAGER. ** ** THIS IS AN AUTO OFFER REQUEST. WE WILL SEND OUT AUTO OFFERS AND ALLOW AN TWO HOURS FOR A RESPONSE BEFORE RESCINDING THE OFFER AND MOVING ONTO THE NEXT CANDIDATE. ** ** REQUIRED: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY. ** ** REQUIRED: 2+ YEARS OF GENERAL MEDSURG UNIT EXPERIENCE, BLS CERTIFICATION FROM AHA ** ** HIGHLY PREFERRED: AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE WORKING ON A SURGICAL FLOOR. ** ** FLOATING: CANDIDATES MAY BE ASKED TO FLOAT, LOCATION IS ACUITY ADAPTABLE.
