Job Title: RN – Medical/Surgical
Location: Shreveport, LA 71103
Duration: 09/09/2025 – 12/09/2025 (13 weeks)
Shift: Night shift, 12 hours
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Required Skills & Experience
-
2+ years of nursing experience – Required.
-
Neuro Medical/Surgical experience – Required.
-
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to present information clearly.
-
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
-
Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
Education
-
Registered Nurse diploma – Required.
-
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing – Preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice – Required.
-
CPI Certification (Blue Card) – Required.
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA – Required.
-
Certification in clinical specialty area – Preferred.
Job Summary
-
Provide patient care using the nursing process in alignment with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice.

Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.

Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
-
Use data and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal patient outcomes.
-
Support customer satisfaction, staff morale, and advancement of the nursing profession.
-
Adapt care and communication to the specific needs of the patient population.

Perform additional related duties as assigned while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
