Process Level Department Description:
Floor is a 19-bed adult oncology/hematology unit staffed by PD-trained nurses. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4–6, with approximately 1–2 admissions per day. Ideal traits for this role include compassion, teamwork, and strong critical thinking. Opportunities for growth include charge nurse responsibilities, clinical ladder progression, and oncology certification.

Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Required: Nursing Diploma OR ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Preferred: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Required: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina, BLS (AHA or ARC).
