Travel: RN - Emergency Room

Job Title: Travel RN Emergency Room
Location: Alamogordo, NM 88310
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Multiple shifts available (start times vary between 3:00 PM 7:00 PM); 7:00 PM 7:00 AM shift also available

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
• Deliver routine and complex patient care in an emergency department setting
• Manage a wide range of patients including strokes, STEMIs, trauma cases, post-surgical and pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and general ED cases
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and care needs
• Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with healthcare team members
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (Level 1, 2, or 3 Trauma required within the last year)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Current RN license in New Mexico or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• TNCC certification required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Preferences:

• Prior experience in similar clinical settings
• Strong critical thinking and patient management skills
• Experience handling diverse and complex emergency cases
