Hours: 36 Hours/Week (12 Hours/Day | 3 Days/Week)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Operating Room (RN-OR) to provide high-quality perioperative patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The RN will independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment.
This role follows the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and the California Nurse Practice Act.

This role follows the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and the California Nurse Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collect and document patient data using approved clinical documentation methods.
- Assess physiological and psychosocial patient risks and report abnormal findings.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Safely implement physician orders and nursing interventions.
- Prioritize nursing actions based on patient condition and clinical assessment.
- Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergency situations.
- Perform and document the nursing process using critical thinking and clinical judgment.
- Coordinate patient care with nurses, physicians, and advanced practice providers.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies, medication safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, nursing governance councils, and professional development activities.
- Maintain competencies and complete mandatory training as required by the nursing department.
- Adhere to hospital policies, RN scope of practice, and professional nursing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of advanced nursing practices, surgical procedures, medical terminology, and clinical equipment.
