Job Title: RN Cardiac Surgical Stepdown
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136 / 74133
Duration: Direct hire/FT
Shift/Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM 7:00 AM | 3x12s | Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon | (36 hrs/week)
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process
- Monitor and evaluate patient functional status
- Organize and complete patient care considering age, cultural, and psychosocial factors
- Document all aspects of nursing care using proper medical terminology
- Address patient problems and monitor progress toward goals
- Facilitate patient discharge planning and patient education
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Support unit and hospital performance improvement (PI) and educational activities
- Attend in-services and complete variance reports as required
- Coordinate activities of other staff without direct supervision
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff
- Work directly with cardiac surgical step-down patients in a hospital setting
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Valid Oklahoma RN license or compact multistate RN license
- Minimum 2 years of work-related RN experience
- Experience in Cardiac Surgical Stepdown required
- Knowledge of disease state management, clinical pathways, and biopsychosocial care models
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
- Detail-oriented with ability to review clinical and numerical data
Preferences:
- Previous cardiac step-down or cardiac surgery recovery experience
- Experience working in high-acuity hospital environments
- Strong teamwork and patient education skills
