Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11213
Duration: 3-month contract
Shift: Days (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or up to 6:00 PM). 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Pay Range- $65.00 - $70.00/Hour. on W2
Job Summary:
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care and is responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating care for assigned patients.
- Care delivery is based on standards and practices established by the Department of Nursing and hospital policies.
- Diagnoses and treats human responses to actual and potential health problems through case finding, health teaching, counseling, and supportive or restorative care.
- Supervises patient care provided by licensed and unlicensed nursing staff.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assesses immediate and ongoing care needs of patients and significant others.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive plans of care including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, teaching, and discharge planning needs.
- Provides and oversees direct patient care in accordance with medical regimens and Product of practice.
- Observes, evaluates, documents, and communicates patient responses to illness and treatment.
- Coordinates overall plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Establishes priorities and ensures timely implementation of nursing interventions and therapies.
- Accepts responsibility and accountability for nursing interventions and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and development of nursing and hospital standards.
- Communicate effectively and manage stressful situations appropriately.
- Participates in orientation of nursing staff and assumes charge responsibilities as assigned.
- Assists with coverage and work on other units assigned.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Serves as a clinical resource for student nurses.
- Participates in meetings, committees, conferences, educational programs, research, and pilot projects.
- Demonstrates commitment to continuing professional growth and participation in professional and community organizations.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
- Master’s degree in nursing, preferred.
Required Licensure:
- New York State RN License.
- ACLS- AHA
- BLS- AHA
- PALS- AHA
Preferred Certifications
- Board Certification (CRN).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of critical care experience.
- Knowledge and competency in both interventional and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to fully utilize IMC electronic record systems, equipment, and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to the position.
- Ability to work with physicians for TEE and loop recorder implant procedures.
- Good interpersonal skills.
