Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219
Duration: 3 to 4 + Months (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $65/hr. on W2
Unit Description:
Job Summary:
The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to individuals and groups. The RN utilizes knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Care is culturally based, age-specific, and provided in partnership with patients, families, and the healthcare team. The RN adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Unit Description:
- The EP Lab has 5 procedure rooms staffed by RNs with critical care backgrounds and radiology technicians.
- Utilizes state-of-the-art technology for treating abnormal heart rhythm disturbances.
- Procedures include: permanent pacemaker implants, permanent implantable defibrillators, implantable loop recorders, ablations for atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardias, supraventricular tachycardias, convergent ablations, left atrial appendage occlusions, extractions of chronic device implants, tilt table studies, and autonomic disorder testing.
- Participates in research studies for treatment of arrhythmias.
- Staff are skilled in caring for ICU patients, VAD patients, and post-surgery patients.
- Focus on patient safety, good outcomes, high patient satisfaction, and low complication rates.
- Works in a fast-paced environment using team-based nursing in conjunction with EP physicians, anesthesia team, and ancillary departments.
