Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PICU/ PCICU
Job Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Job duration: 3+ Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM - rotating days and nights in 4–6-week blocks of time.
Weekend Requirement: Every Other weekend
On Call: None
Job Summary:
- We are seeking highly experienced adaptable Pediatric ICU travellers who are drawn to complex, high-acuity care and thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- This is a combined PICU and Pediatric Cardiac ICU, caring for medically and surgically complex children across the full spectrum of critical illness.
- Strong foundational PICU experience, comfort caring for high-acuity patients including mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support, vasoactive infusions and hemodynamic monitoring, post-operative surgical patients, sepsis, trauma, neurologic, and multi-system failure.
- Travelers must be independent, confident clinicians who can quickly assess, prioritize, and escalate concerns, be comfortable working across multiple care spaces and patient populations, able to integrate into existing workflows while maintaining high standards of safety and vigilance, skilled in recognizing subtle clinical changes and partnering early with the care team.
Required Education:
- Associate’s degree in nursing – Required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing - Preferred
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Registered Nurse (RN) State of Michigan.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA.
- PALS AHA.
