Job Title: RN Psychiatric Emergency Unit
Location: New York, NY
Department: Psychiatric Emergency Unit
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Every Other Weekend Required)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 34 per week | 11.5 hours per day | 3 days per week
Pay Rate: $53/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse provides safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients in the Psychiatric Emergency Unit. This role involves comprehensive assessment, patient management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes aligned with the philosophy of Relationship-Centered Care.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- BLS and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certifications required.
- SEL and SCR forms are required for onboarding.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
- At least 2 years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience (child/adolescent or CPEP preferred).
- 1 year of travel nursing experience (required for travel positions only).
- EPIC EMR experience highly preferred.
- Average Unit Census: 4 patients
- Unit Staffing: 1 RN and 1 PCA
