Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
Location: Pompton Plains, NJ 07444
Duration: 12 Months+ (Possibilities of Extension)
Pay Rate: $54/hour. on W2
Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 2–3 shifts per week

Job Duties:

Assessment Skills:
- Performs thorough, systematic assessments across the lifespan (Pediatric to Geriatric).
- Delivers appropriate patient care based on assessment findings.

Clinical Skills:
- Provides competent direct patient care in collaboration with the team.
- Demonstrates skill with emergency procedures and equipment.

Documentation:
- Maintains accurate and complete records of nursing care, patient progress, and patient education.
- Adheres to documentation guidelines for the nursing process.

Professionalism:
- Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Identifies opportunities for clinical and professional growth.

Patient Satisfaction:
- Communicates professionally with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Promotes patient-centered care and maintains HIPAA confidentiality.

- Follows National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol.
- Uses safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.

Unit-Specific Job Function:
- Provides care for surgical patients, tailoring care based on procedure, anesthesia type, and patient condition.
- Monitors patient reaction and comprehension of instructions.

Responsibility and Accountability:
- Prioritizes and directs patient care according to patient needs and condition changes.

Patient Education and Chart Completion:
- Assesses patient understanding of procedures and instructions.
- Performs pre- and post-operative assessments and teaching.

PAT-Specific Duties:
- Completes pre-admission testing efficiently.
- Reviews PAT orders for completeness and appropriateness based on patient age, health status, and planned surgery.
Education & Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate required; Bachelor’s preferred)
- RN License – Required
- BLS – Required
- Dysrhythmia Certification – Required
- NIHSS/CEU’s (8 total) prior to start – Required
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience – Required
Physical Requirements:
- As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS
