Job Description: Entry Phlebotomist I
Location: Hollywood, FL
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift:
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Every Saturday: 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Position Overview
The Entry Phlebotomist I (ENTRY PSR I) plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience by providing front-line support in both the lobby and draw room. This position focuses on patient interaction, ensuring a welcoming environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality. The role also provides an opportunity to develop and expand phlebotomy skills within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and provide a positive, compassionate experience
- Assist patients with check-in using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets
- Address patient questions and concerns with care and professionalism
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the waiting area
- Ensure smooth patient flow, supporting both lobby and clinical (draw room) operations
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures when required
- Fill in for phlebotomists during breaks or staffing needs
- Accurately maintain records and documentation
- Uphold patient confidentiality and data accuracy at all times
- Promote a professional and safe working environment
- Represent the organization with a positive, service-oriented attitude
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required – no exceptions)
- Phlebotomy certification or prior phlebotomy training required
Experience:
- 1–2 years of customer-facing experience (e.g., retail, healthcare, home health aide, etc.)
- Prior phlebotomy experience required
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills

- Flexibility to work in both front desk/lobby and clinical environments

Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work both in the lobby and perform phlebotomy duties in the draw room
- Candidates only interested in front desk/greeter roles will not be considered
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient service and operational excellence
Role Summary
This is an entry-level hybrid position combining front desk patient service with hands-on phlebotomy support. The individual will serve as a lobby greeter while also assisting in clinical operations, making this role essential in ensuring a seamless and comfortable patient experience.
