RN – Observation Unit

Job Title: RN – Observation Unit
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226
Duration: 3 Months+ (Potential to extend)

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights)

Schedule: 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• Weekends required
• No on-call
• Floating required
 
Required Skills & Experience:

• Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment
• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice from an accredited School of Nursing

• Associate Degree in Nursing – Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred

• Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or a multi-state license from a participating NLC state – Required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire – Required

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients
• Deliver care to a primarily adult inpatient population
• Analyze patient data, identify outcomes, and implement individualized care plans
• Participate in continuing education and lifelong learning
• Apply evidence-based practice and contribute to a quality nursing practice
• Identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies
• Lead or participate in clinical quality improvement efforts using the PDSA model
• Perform hourly rounding and contribute to an environment conducive to staff development
