Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 + Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: 40hrs- Flexible; includes on-call and call-back coverage
Department: Emergency / Imaging Services
Pay Range: $2500 - $2800 Weekly Gross on Traveller
Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technician performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures across multiple departments, including outpatient services. This role collaborates with radiologists and physicians to deliver high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and assists with interventional procedures. The technician independently conducts exams, handles complex cases, evaluates image quality, and ensures optimal diagnostic outcomes while maintaining high standards of patient care. Additional responsibilities include supporting departmental operations and participating in on-call and after-hours coverage as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across departments
- Ensure high-quality imaging for accurate interpretation
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians
- Assist with interventional procedures
- Evaluate and adjust imaging techniques for optimal results
- Maintain patient safety and comfort
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours coverage
- Support departmental operations and additional assignments
- Experience handling high-acuity and emergency cases
- Strong technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment
- Ability to assess and optimize image quality
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Familiarity with CMS, Title 22, OSHA, and DNV standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Multilingual skills (preferred)
Education:
- Certificate/Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (required)
Licensure & Certifications:
- RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) – preferred
- BLS Certification (required)
