Job Summary:
Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. The RN reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Job Summary:
Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. The RN reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and meet personal learning needs; attend relevant education programs
- Use patient education materials and assess readiness to learn
- Identify patient outcomes and revise care plans as needed
- Collaborate with team to evaluate care and ensure continuity
- Provide safe, competent care for patients with complex needs
- Perform point-of-care testing according to standards and policies
- Organize and prioritize care; consult resources for complex issues
- Set and achieve professional growth goals; support unit objectives
- Communicate effectively and give feedback to coworkers
- Promote safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care
- Assess patient needs, anticipate discharge, and support family advocacy
- Plan care collaboratively using multidisciplinary resources and cultural awareness
- Stay informed through journals and share ideas for practice improvement
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Nursing Diploma OR ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
- Preferred: BSN or MSN
- RN License in the state of North Carolina
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- NIHSS
- CPI-A
