Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Critical Need
Job Title: RN – Level III NICU
Location: Oakland, CA
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Days & Nights (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience to provide high-quality, patient-centered neonatal care. The ideal candidate will be skilled in caring for critically ill newborns in a fast-paced NICU environment while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards
- Support and educate families throughout the patient care journey
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent full-time equivalent RN experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Current certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AWHONN
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Recent Level III NICU experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field preferred
- Seven (7) years of recent Level III NICU experience within the last 10 years preferred
