Job Title: Clinical Nurse Educator
Locations: Salinas, CA 93901
Duration: 6 + Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: Days Monday – Friday (Variable hours to support night shift staff)
Local Rate: $60 - $70 Per hour
Traveler Pay: $3000 - $3300 weekly gross
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to support nursing staff development and ensure high-quality patient care. This role focuses on training, education, competency development, and onboarding of nursing staff within an acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess learning needs of nursing staff and develop education plans
- Develop and implement orientation programs for new hires and transfers
- Conduct in-services and continuing education (CE) programs
- Provide clinical coaching and support to nursing staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Develop competencies and educational materials
- Support staff transitions and onboarding programs
- Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
Required Qualifications:
- Active California RN License
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
- Experience in ICU or Telemetry
- Clinical Educator or training experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN)
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Experience with new grad training / transition programs
