Duties:
Job Summary:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Education:
Required Education:
-Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred Education:
-Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN).
Required Certification & Licensure:
-Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
-BLS
Required Skills & Experience:
-Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
-Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
-Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Shift Hours: 7PM - 7AM Weekend and holiday availability required.
Schedule Notes: *Longer contract to cover Holidays* Auto Offers Approved - MSP making offers based off resume REQUIRED: Minimum 2-3 years PCU experience, BLS Certification from AHA Candidates will be asked to float to areas of equal or lesser acuity in cases of low census or high need on other units to balance patient loads. Ratio: 1:6 average Schedules are created in six-week blocks and posted in advance. Block scheduling is NOT able to be accommodated CANDIDATES MAY BE ASKED TO FLOAT TO INPATIENT UNIT AS NEEDED. Candidates with previous Epic experience and that have worked on a surgical floor are preferred.
